Toyota launched its new flagship Century brand and unveiled futuristic concept vehicles, signaling a luxury mobility shift.
Toyota unveiled a range of new concept vehicles in Japan, confirming Century as its new flagship brand and introducing a futuristic Corolla concept with bold styling and full-width LED lighting.
A sporty Century coupe-style SUV with forward-sliding doors and a six-wheeled electric people mover under the Lexus LS nameplate were shown, signaling a shift toward luxury mobility solutions.
The company also revealed a compact Daihatsu city car and vehicles tailored for developing markets.
Toyota introduced a new slogan, “To You – Toyota,” and a revised brand hierarchy placing Century at the top, with Lexus and Gazoo Racing on either side, and Daihatsu at the base.
While a twin-turbo V8 halo supercar was hinted at with engine sounds, the vehicle was not revealed.
The event, co-hosted by Chairman Akio Toyoda, served as a preview for the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo, October 29 to November 9.
