Ontario's Dress Purple Day on Oct. 16, 2025, urges communities to wear purple to support vulnerable children and families.
On October 16, 2025, Ontario communities are encouraged to wear purple for Dress Purple Day, an annual campaign led by the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies to raise awareness about vulnerable children, youth, and families.
Bruce Grey Child and Family Services is promoting participation by inviting schools, businesses, and individuals to wear purple, share photos on social media with designated hashtags, and tag the organization for a chance to win prizes.
The group reported serving between 3,000 and 3,400 people in the Grey-Bruce region during the 2024–2025 fiscal year, supporting 82 children in care, 51 kinship providers, 83 foster homes, and 62 volunteers, while completing 10 adoptions and opening 1,109 investigations.
