Mercedes-Benz launches diesel G 450d in India, first diesel G-Class, priced at ₹2.90 crore.

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the diesel-powered G 450d SUV at ₹2.90 crore (ex-showroom), available initially to 50 customers. It features a 3.0L inline-six diesel engine with 48V mild hybrid tech, producing 367 hp and 750 Nm of torque, enabling 0–100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. The model retains the G-Class’s off-road capabilities with three differential locks, 241 mm ground clearance, and 70 cm fording depth. It includes luxury features like dual 12.3-inch screens, MBUX NTG7, Burmester audio, and Level 2 ADAS. This launch marks the first diesel G-Class in India, completing a full lineup that now includes petrol, AMG, and electric variants.
