Agyemang, who had paid her fare and was traveling with her young son, was grabbed, handcuffed, and restrained despite no lawful basis for the arrest. Bodycam footage shows her pleading in pain, saying her arm felt “dead,” while Lathwood used dismissive language, including calling her “love” and a “daft cow.” She later sought medical treatment for bruising and ongoing pain. The incident, captured on video and widely shared online, drew public attention. Lathwood denies gross misconduct, and if proven, the allegations could lead to dismissal.
