Kenya's military recruitment continues nationwide despite a court challenge over access, with a ruling expected October 16.
Kenya’s Defence Forces are continuing their 2025 recruitment drive nationwide, including in Nairobi, despite a court challenge by 19 local MPs who claim only three recruitment centers for 17 sub-counties create unfair access.
The Ministry of Defence says the process remains lawful, free, and inclusive, with no court order halting it.
Recruitment runs until October 25, 2025, and applicants must be Kenyan citizens aged 18 to 26 with a KCSE D (Plain) pass, meet physical standards, and have no criminal records or tattoos.
A High Court ruling is expected October 16, but until then, the recruitment proceeds as scheduled.
