Four college football stars from Florida and Georgia to be inducted into the Hall of Fame on October 31.
Four athletes—Florida’s Brandon James and Todd Johnson, and Georgia’s Freddie Gilbert and Sony Michel—will be inducted into the Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame on October 31 in Jacksonville.
James, a record-setting return specialist (2006–2009), earned SEC Special Teams Player of the Year in 2008 and helped Florida win two national titles.
Johnson, a Gators linebacker (1999–2002), started 35 games, recorded nine interceptions and eight forced fumbles, and had a standout 2000 season with 102 tackles and five picks.
Gilbert, a Georgia linebacker (1980–1983), tallied 233 tackles and 26 sacks, including a key role in a 1982 shutout over Florida, and earned All-America honors.
Michel, a Georgia running back, rushed for 3,638 yards and 33 touchdowns before winning two Super Bowls with the Patriots and Rams.
The ceremony honors their legacies in one of college football’s fiercest rivalries.
