Yashasvi Jaiswal's 175 helps India win series, earns praise from Brian Lara.
West Indies legend Brian Lara jokingly told India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal not to “beat up our bowlers so bad” after Jaiswal scored a career-best 175 in the second Test in New Delhi, helping India secure a series win. The 23-year-old opener, who reached 211 runs in two innings at 105.50, has now scored 654 runs in 14 innings in 2025 with three centuries. He has 2,420 Test runs in 26 matches at 52.60, including seven centuries, and became the third Indian to reach 3,000 international runs in 50 matches. Five of his seven Test hundreds are over 150, a feat only surpassed by Don Bradman before age 23.
