The victims, identified as Israna, 30, and her children Sofia, 5, and Sumaiya, 2, were killed with a sharp or blunt weapon and discovered by children arriving for lessons. The mosque’s imam, Ibrahim, was reportedly away in Deoband at the time. All CCTV cameras at the site were disabled before the killings. Police have sealed the area, sent the bodies for post-mortem, and launched a forensic investigation, forming multiple teams to pursue leads including robbery, family disputes, or personal enmity.
