Vietnam allocates $15.18M in 2025 funds to aid flood recovery in four northern provinces.
Vietnam has allocated an additional 400 billion VND ($15.18 million) from its 2025 central budget to aid recovery in four northern provinces—Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son, and Bac Ninh—damaged by flooding from Typhoon Matmo and heavy rains.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed the order on October 12, 2025, directing 250 billion VND to Thai Nguyen, the hardest-hit province, and 50 billion VND each to the others.
This follows prior aid totaling over 2.52 trillion VND since January for 15 provinces affected by Typhoon Bualoi and other disasters.
The government stressed transparency and accountability in fund use, requiring detailed expenditure reports.

Private donations, including a 500 billion VND pledge from Vingroup, have also supported relief efforts.
