Uttarakhand launched new pulse varieties and climate-resilient farming initiatives at a major agricultural fair on October 12, 2025.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated new pulse varieties at the 118th All India Farmers Fair in Pantnagar on October 12, 2025, highlighting over 400 stalls from agri-industries and startups showcasing modern farming tech and seeds. He emphasized government support through schemes like PM-Kisan, MSP increases, and state-level initiatives including interest-free loans, 80% machinery subsidies, free irrigation, and a ₹200 crore polyhouse fund, along with bonuses on wheat and sugarcane. The state also launched a ₹1,000 crore climate-resilient rain-fed farming project and horticulture policies for apples, kiwis, millets, and dragon fruit with subsidies and grading support.
