Tiger Woods had his seventh back surgery to treat severe pain from a collapsed disc and spinal issues.
Tiger Woods has undergone his seventh back surgery, a lumbar disc replacement at L4/5, to address a collapsed disc, disc fragments, and a narrowed spinal canal causing severe pain and mobility issues.
The procedure, performed in New York by Dr. Sheeraz Qureshi, follows a series of injuries including a 2021 car crash that nearly led to amputation of his right leg, a ruptured Achilles tendon in March, and a previous back surgery in September.
Woods, who has played only 15 official events since 2021, has not provided a return timeline and is unlikely to participate in the Hero World Challenge or the upcoming TGL tech-golf league season.
