Ronnie Wood and Rod Stewart are recording new music, fueling reunion hopes for the Faces, while The Rolling Stones work on a 2026 album.
Guitarist Ronnie Wood, 78, says he and Sir Rod Stewart are recording new music together, reigniting hopes for a Faces reunion, though no official album or tour has been confirmed.
The pair, part of the 1970s rock band that released four studio albums before splitting in 1975, have been working on material from their past, with Wood calling their collection a “good body of songs.” He recalled the band’s wild tour antics, including being banned from Holiday Inn hotels and checking in under fake band names.
Wood also confirmed The Rolling Stones are finalizing a new album, expected by early 2026, following their 2023 release Hackney Diamonds.
He shared his recovery from substance abuse in 2010, crediting support from bandmates like Mick Jagger.
