The Queensland government has launched a $20 million Women’s Career Grants program to help over 4,000 women return to the workforce, with applications opening November 3 and payments expected by Christmas.

Targeting women unemployed for at least six months, including stay-at-home parents and caregivers, the program aims to reduce economic barriers and boost workforce participation.
It is part of a broader $20 million investment in women’s economic security, including $333 million over four years for workforce training, funding for female founders, and efforts to close the gender pay gap.
