Delhi police arrested a 25-year-old man for a crypto scam using fake remote jobs, leading to ₹55,100 in losses.

Delhi Police have arrested Sukhpreet Singh, 25, from Jagraon, Punjab, in connection with a cryptocurrency fraud scheme using fake work-from-home job offers. Victims were lured via Instagram ads to a Telegram group where they were promised small payments for online tasks, later tricked into transferring ₹55,100 via UPI for fake withdrawal fees. Police traced ₹29,500 to a petrol pump in Jagraon using mobile location data and seized multiple devices and cards. Singh admitted to trading USDT at inflated rates, knowing the funds were from cybercrime, and used multiple accounts and cash swaps to launder money. He was remanded into custody and sent to judicial custody as the investigation continues, with one Indian Bank account still untraced.
