The incident, ruled a breach of Article 2.5, led to a formal reprimand and one demerit point, with Mlaba admitting the offense and avoiding a hearing.
The penalty is part of ICC Level 1 sanctions, which include reprimands and up to 50% of match fee fines.
Mlaba, who took 2/46, played a key role in South Africa’s three-wicket win, which came with seven balls remaining.
The match saw India post 251/9, powered by Richa Ghosh’s 94, while Nadine de Klerk scored 84* and captain Laura Wolvaardt made 70 to secure the chase.
The ICC confirmed the decision was upheld without a formal hearing.
