Rep. Ken Croken to host film screening Oct. 23 in Davenport to fund trans youth care in eastern Iowa.
Iowa Representative Ken Croken will host a screening of the documentary "Jimmy in Saigon" on October 23, 2025, in Davenport to raise funds for trans youth in eastern Iowa.
The event, with a 6:30 p.m. reception and film at 7:30 p.m., supports nonprofits The Project of the Quad Cities and Clock, Inc., which assist families seeking gender-affirming care.
Croken is covering all costs, and all $30 ticket proceeds will go to the organizations.
The film, directed by Peter McDowell, explores the life and death of his brother, a Vietnam War veteran who died in Saigon in 1972, and has won international awards.
The screening coincides with the 50th anniversary of the fall of Saigon, and a Clock, Inc. client will share their experience.
Tickets are available online.
