Premier League's Mumbai event featured fan activities, a coach program, and a UK PM-attended youth showcase.
The Premier League wrapped up a week-long fan and community event in Mumbai, its first major initiative in India since opening a local office.
Led by Michael Owen and cricketer Sanju Samson, activities included a fan screening with live matches, interactive experiences, and the Premier League Trophy display.
Owen joined Samson in a cross-sport challenge, with highlights shared widely online.
Fans of Owen’s former clubs attended meet-and-greets.
The event concluded with the Premier League Community Coach Development Programme, training 27 Indian coaches in partnership with the British Council.
The programme, part of a 20-year collaboration training over 41,000 coaches globally, culminated in a showcase at Cooperage Football Ground attended by UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, featuring 80 children from the Oscar Foundation.
The initiative continues to promote youth development, inclusion, and grassroots football in India.
