Latvia demands 841 Russians leave by Oct. 13 for missing new residency, language, and security rules.
Latvia has ordered 841 Russian citizens to leave by October 13 for failing to meet new 2025 migration requirements, including applying for long-term EU residency, proving A2-level Latvian language skills, and passing security checks by June 30.
About 30,000 Russian nationals were affected, with roughly 2,600 leaving voluntarily.
The move is part of Latvia’s broader effort to strengthen national security and integration standards, particularly for nationals from countries with strained diplomatic ties.
