An AFP photographer, Jaafar Ashtiyeh, was injured by Israeli settlers during a violent attack on olive harvesters in Beita, West Bank, on Friday.
Around 70 settlers armed with sticks and stones assaulted villagers and journalists, striking Ashtiyeh with multiple rocks, causing bruising, and setting his vehicle on fire.
Israeli soldiers present did not intervene but used tear gas and rubber bullets on peaceful demonstrators.
The Palestinian health ministry reported 36 injuries across Beita and nearby villages, including two shot.
AFP condemned the attack, highlighting the growing danger for journalists, and called for accountability.
The Israeli military did not respond.
