Ireland is adding 192 fast EV chargers at 90 sites nationwide, with completion by April 2026.
Ireland is expanding its EV charging network with 192 new fast chargers at 90 locations across the country, including nine hubs in Galway, three in Laois, eight in Cork, and sites in Carlow and Kilkenny.
Funded with nearly €10 million, the project aims to place charging points no more than 30 kilometers apart on primary and secondary roads.
The hubs, located at service stations, supermarkets, and other public sites, are expected to be operational by April 2026.
The initiative, part of the final phase of the Light Duty Vehicle program, supports growing EV adoption and improves access in rural areas.
