British Gas has reopened its Energy Support Fund, offering eligible customers in England, Scotland, and Wales up to £2,000 to help with energy bills.
The grant targets existing customers with energy debt between £50 and £2,000 on pre-payment meters or £250 to £2,000 on credit accounts, provided they’ve recently sought advice from a money advice agency or used the company’s online budgeting tool.
Applications are submitted via the British Gas Energy Trust website.
The program supported nearly 6,000 households last year.
Non-British Gas customers may access up to £1,700 through the Individuals and Families Fund.
