Youth in Cambodia team up with RUA to tackle climate change with funded, community-driven projects.
The Chen Zhi Climate Action Challenge, launched by philanthropist Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, has partnered with Cambodia’s Royal University of Agriculture to engage youth aged 18 to 30 in developing community-based climate solutions.
The initiative, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, focuses on renewable energy, nature-based solutions, circular economy, and sustainable agriculture.
RUA will lead outreach and mentorship, while the challenge will provide up to $30,000 in seed funding and support project implementation.
The program aligns with national climate goals and UN Sustainable Development Goal 13, with support from Cambodia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and will expand through joint branding and promotional efforts.
