Oregon State Police are seeking public help identifying the person responsible for killing and wasting a cow elk in Lincoln County on September 23, 2025. The elk was found near Fraser Road and the Salmon River Estuary with an arrow in its abdomen. Officials believe it was shot during archery season, which only permits bull elk harvest in that area, making the killing of a cow elk a violation.
