A new $30 million Dillons grocery store, set to open Oct. 17 in Lawrence, Kansas, will be the largest tenant yet at the University of Kansas’ West Campus development, The Crossing.
The 86,000-square-foot store, featuring a Murray’s Cheese shop, Starbucks, a pharmacy with drive-thru, and energy-efficient refrigeration, will hire about 150 employees and replace the closing 23rd Street location.
The opening includes free samples, a mural dedication, and a food drive.
The store supports KU’s broader vision to transform the campus into a mixed-use hub, with future projects including a National Security Center and partnerships with companies like Panasonic.
