Malaysia expands MyNIISe QR system to motorcycles at two border checkpoints starting Oct. 15.
Starting October 15, Malaysia will extend its MyNIISe QR code immigration system to motorcycles at two Johor-Singapore border checkpoints, adding 15 motorcycle lanes with scanners to speed up processing.
The system, previously used only for cars since September 22, is part of a phased trial through February 28, 2026, and is also active at five major airports.
Motorcyclists can use the MyNIISe app or MyBorderPass QR system, with the app available to Malaysians, Singaporeans, and travelers from 63 countries for entry and 71 for departure.
Over 50,000 downloads have been recorded.
Traditional documents remain required under the Immigration Act.
