On October 9, 2025, Las Vegas officially designated a 1.2-mile stretch along Maryland Parkway as Filipino Town, a Clark County Cultural District, honoring the city’s large and growing Filipino community.
The recognition, approved in April, celebrates over 70 years of Filipino presence and cultural contributions, with hundreds attending the unveiling at the Boulevard Mall.
The newly opened Filipino American Museum hosted its debut, and community leaders, including 91-year-old Rozita Lee, emphasized civic engagement and the need for a permanent cultural center.
The district, home to businesses like Jollibee and Seafood City, is expected to boost visibility and economic development.
