Gregg Wallace sues BBC over withheld data, claiming emotional distress after his 2024 dismissal.
Gregg Wallace is suing the BBC and BBC Studios for up to £10,000 in damages, claiming they caused him distress by failing to fully comply with his 2024 subject access requests for personal data.
He was dismissed in July following an investigation into historical misconduct allegations, with 45 of 83 claims upheld, mostly involving inappropriate language and behavior between 2005 and 2018.
BBC Studios reportedly withheld parts of his data citing freedom of expression, which his legal team calls unlawful.
Wallace seeks compensation for emotional harm and a court order for full disclosure.
The BBC has not yet filed a defense.
