BBC Radio Scotland may cancel its 1973 morning show Good Morning Scotland amid programming changes.
BBC Radio Scotland may cancel its long-running morning show Good Morning Scotland, which has aired since 1973, as part of a broader programming overhaul.
The move, led by new head Victoria Easton-Riley, could see the show replaced with a shorter, rebranded format, possibly hosted by Laura MacIver and Martin Geissler, echoing a similar shift in Wales.
Another morning programme, Mornings, may also be at risk.
The changes come amid a wider review of BBC Scotland’s output, following the cancellation of The Nine news bulletin last year.
The BBC has not confirmed any decisions, calling reports speculation.
