The U.S. has added 15 Chinese companies to its Entity List for allegedly helping Iranian proxies, including Hamas and Houthi militants, acquire American electronic components used in weaponized drones. The move, tied to drone wreckage recovered after the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, restricts these companies’ access to U.S. technology. Ten were cited for procurement facilitation, five for involvement in an illicit network linked to Iran’s Quds Force. The action is part of a broader effort targeting supply chains supporting non-state actors, with 29 entities—including companies from Turkey and the UAE—now designated.
