Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced at the Global Startup Summit 2025 that the state aims to become a $1 trillion economy by 2030, driven by a sixfold rise in startups to over 12,000 in four years, with more than half founded by women. He launched a ₹100 crore co-creation fund to boost innovation, highlighting the state’s $27.4 billion startup ecosystem, $4.2 billion in venture funding since 2016, and status as India’s third-largest deep-tech hub. The summit, attended by over 250 stakeholders from 40 countries, included seven international MoUs and showcased Tamil Nadu’s growth in electronics, space, defense, and renewable energy, supported by strong industrial policies and inclusive development initiatives.
