Saudi Arabia attends IUCN Congress to highlight conservation progress and global environmental goals.
Saudi Arabia is attending the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi from October 9 to 15, 2025, showcasing its environmental initiatives and progress in biodiversity protection, habitat restoration, and species reintroduction.
The delegation, led by the National Center for Wildlife, aligns its efforts with the global 30×30 conservation target and supports Saudi Vision 2030, the Saudi Green Initiative, and the Middle East Green Initiative.
Meanwhile, Morocco’s Princess Lalla Hasnaa, representing her country as a guest of honor, emphasized national environmental commitments, community and youth engagement, and innovative conservation programs including plastic pollution reduction and ecosystem restoration, calling for youth leadership and ethical technology use in sustainability efforts.
