Pakistan's JeM launches women's wing, Jamaat-ul-Mominaat, to recruit vulnerable women and fund rebuilding after India's strike.
Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has established its first women’s wing, Jamaat-ul-Mominaat, with recruitment beginning October 8, 2025, in Bahawalpur.
Led by Masood Azhar’s sister Sadiya Azhar, the unit targets wives of commanders and economically vulnerable women from JeM centers across Pakistan.
The move marks a strategic shift after India’s Operation Sindoor destroyed JeM infrastructure and killed Azhar’s relatives.
The group is rebuilding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, using social media and madrassa networks to radicalize women and raise funds via an EasyPaisa campaign aiming for Rs 3.91 billion.
Intelligence sources suggest the formation may signal future use of female suicide bombers.
