Manitoba Hydro has launched a Request for Qualified Suppliers to secure up to 600 megawatts of wind power from Indigenous-led projects, with each farm limited to 200 megawatts and requiring majority Indigenous ownership.
The initiative, part of the provincial Affordable Energy Plan, follows earlier engagement efforts and aims to advance clean energy and reconciliation.
The RFQS is open until January 2026, with selected applicants invited to submit detailed proposals in future tenders.
