Madison Communications sues India over antitrust raid, citing due process violations.
Madison Communications has filed a legal challenge in the Delhi High Court, seeking to halt an antitrust probe by India’s Competition Commission of India (CCI), alleging that its executives were questioned without legal representation during March raids, with armed personnel present and no access to seized documents or investigation records.
The company claims the process violated due process and transparency, citing a broader investigation into alleged advertising rate collusion, prompted by a whistleblower from Dentsu.
The case, set for hearing Thursday, also challenges a CCI order requiring executives to appear for further questioning.
Publicis has separately requested access to case files but not to stop the probe.
The CCI has not commented.
