Iowa schools get up to $750 grants for beef nutrition education in 2025–2026.
The Iowa Beef Industry Council is expanding its Beef Grant Program for the 2025–2026 school year, offering up to $750 to Family and Consumer Sciences teachers in Iowa schools to enhance nutrition and cooking education.
The program, which reached 13,000 students across 85 schools last year, helps teach essential skills and knowledge about beef’s nutritional benefits, including protein, iron, and vitamin B12.
With about 50 schools already applying for the upcoming cycle, the council aims to grow participation, supporting lifelong healthy eating habits through hands-on learning.
Grants are funded by Iowa cattle producers and available annually via online application.
