India sets world record with 30-hour CPR marathon training over 4,000 people for World Heart Day.
In Coimbatore, India, the First Heart Foundations Network set a new world record for the longest continuous CPR marathon, certified by the Indian Book of Records, during a 30-hour, 40-minute event at Coimbatore Railway Station.
The "Pulse30" initiative, held September 28–29, 2025, involved over 4,000 people receiving CPR training and volunteers performing 224,232 compressions on mannequins.
Organized for World Heart Day 2025, the event aimed to promote immediate CPR use in cardiac emergencies, which can double or triple survival rates.
It drew participation from local colleges and inspired over 300,000 people, with officials highlighting its impact on public health awareness and community engagement.
