The Steven C. Gordon Family Foundation has pledged $20 million to expand Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, creating the Laurie and Steven C. Gordon Pavilion on the fourth floor.
The renovation, funded by the gift, will add 103 new beds for adult and pediatric critical and acute care patients, increasing the medical center’s capacity by 23%.
The space, formerly occupied by the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA, will be vacated as the hospital relocates to a new mental health campus in Mid-Wilshire, opening in summer 2026.
The expansion will raise UCLA Health’s psychiatric bed capacity to 139.
The Gordons’ total support for UCLA Health now exceeds $50 million, including prior funding for Parkinson’s research and mental health programs.
