Former North Yorkshire councillor Pat Marsh, 77, has been charged with displaying antisemitic social media content on X (formerly Twitter) from January and February 2024, allegedly intended to stir up racial hatred. The posts prompted a public report and police investigation, leading to her resignation, a by-election, and suspension from the Liberal Democrats. Marsh denies the charges and is set to appear at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court on November 6.
