A 26-year-old NSW police officer faces charges over child abuse material, firearms, and leaked data; court date set for Nov. 19.
A 26-year-old police constable in southern New South Wales has been charged with possessing child abuse and bestiality material, unlawfully possessing a firearm, failing to properly store a firearm, and intentionally publishing protected information.
The charges stem from a July investigation by NSW Police’s Professional Standards Command following a referral from the Australian Federal Police.
In mid-September, police executed a search warrant, seizing electronic devices, a gel blaster, and ammunition.
The officer, suspended with pay, is scheduled to appear at Albury Local Court on November 19, with his employment status under review.
