The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority has extended the shoulder season at Wildwood and Fanshawe conservation areas until November 30, offering continued day-use access with reduced fees: $10 for vehicles (up to four people) and $5 for pedestrians or cyclists.
Visitors can enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking (based on water levels), boat launches (pending conditions), and amenities like picnic areas, playgrounds, and barbecues.
Wildwood remains open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., while Fanshawe operates until 4:30 p.m. until November 19, then closes at 4 p.m.
The extension allows public access into autumn for fall foliage and recreation, with positive feedback.
2026 season passes are available at 2025 rates, including free access for the rest of 2025, and can be bought at gatehouses or online.
