Strickland Metals found high-grade gold and copper just 4.8 meters below surface at its Copper Canyon prospect in Serbia, with grades up to 3.9 g/t gold and 5.6% copper.
Strickland Metals has discovered a significant, shallow, high-grade mineralized zone at its Copper Canyon prospect in Serbia, with a 191.2-meter drill intercept grading 0.5 g/t gold and 0.5% copper, including higher-grade sections up to 3.9 g/t gold and 5.6% copper.
The find, located just 4.8 meters below surface, occurs in green garnet skarn hosted by geological faults and folds, with a deeper gold-only zone remaining open.
The discovery strengthens the potential for Copper Canyon to exceed its current 810,000 gold equivalent ounce resource and may shift its role from secondary to key growth driver.
The company, with $52.4 million in cash and seven diamond rigs operating across a 50,000-meter drilling campaign, expects further results soon.
