Sterling Metals found extensive copper mineralization over 6km at its Ontario project, with new samples, anomalies, and a possible underground source.
Sterling Metals Corp. reported widespread bornite and chalcopyrite mineralization across a 6km stretch at its Soo Copper Project in Ontario, based on a summer field program.
The discovery, including 93 copper-bearing samples and 38 with bornite in a 2km zone, extends known mineralization beyond drilled areas.
A new soil sampling program identified 122 copper anomalies, while reprocessed geophysical data revealed a 10km circular anomaly suggesting a potential intrusive center.
The company also appointed Dr. Neil O'Brien as Chief Geologist, citing his expertise in base metal exploration and potential for finding additional high-grade zones at shallow depths.
