Sokoman Minerals tripled its claims in Newfoundland, now holding the most land near the new Valentine Gold Mine.
Sokoman Minerals Corp. has tripled its mineral claim holdings along the 65-kilometer-long Valentine Lake Fault in Newfoundland, expanding to 58,775 hectares and becoming the largest landholder in the area.
The move, announced on October 8, 2025, consolidates the Moosehead and Crippleback claim groups into the district-scale Treasure Island Project.
The region hosts Canada’s newest producing gold mine, the Valentine Gold Mine, which began operations in August 2025 and is expected to produce 195,000 ounces of gold annually.
Sokoman plans to advance exploration, particularly on the 63 kilometers of the project that remain underexplored, while issuing 4.5 million shares and paying $50,000 in cash for the acquisition.
The company emphasized that results at the adjacent mine do not guarantee similar outcomes on its property.
