No criminal charges will be filed against two Marinette County officers in the August 29, 2025, shooting of 23-year-old Andrew Collamore during a high-speed chase on U.S. Highway 41. Collamore, a suspect in the homicide of 70-year-old Thomas Muckler found in a Dane County cabin, was armed with a knife and reportedly refused commands to drop it, making statements about “Area 51” and claiming he was supposed to be executed. After evading spike strips and crashing, he lunged toward officers. The Wisconsin Department of Justice and Marinette County District Attorney DeShea Morrow concluded the officers’ use of deadly force was justified due to an imminent threat. No officers were injured.
