A nationwide recall of Scott & Jon’s Shrimp Scampi with Linguini is underway due to possible Listeria contamination, with no illnesses reported.
The Hawai‘i Department of Health is warning consumers about a nationwide recall of certain lots of Scott & Jon’s Shrimp Scampi with Linguini due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The recall, initiated by Demers Food Group, stems from a contaminated pasta ingredient and affects products sold in U.S. supermarkets, including Safeway in Hawai‘i.
Listeria can cause serious infections, especially in pregnant women, newborns, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems.
Though no illnesses have been reported, health officials urge consumers to check lot numbers and best-if-used-by dates, return affected products for refunds, discard opened packages safely, and clean contaminated surfaces.
Those experiencing symptoms should seek medical advice.
