WaterConnect, a project development company founded by Water.org, has signed its first agreement with a consortium including Haskoning, RebelGroup, PIDG, and AWID to develop a €93 million water and wastewater project in Naivasha, Kenya.
Approved by Kenya’s PPP Directorate in May 2025, the 30-year public-private partnership will deliver bulk water supply and wastewater treatment to over 270,000 people, support industrial growth in a fast-developing region, and improve water quality and access.
The project involves design, financing, construction, and operations, with efforts focused on creating bankable infrastructure to address the global water investment gap in low- and middle-income countries.
