Joseph Jay Juant Mayuyo, 33, of Hawthorne, was charged with two felony counts of making criminal threats against TikTok’s Culver City headquarters after allegedly posting threats online, prompting a security evacuation.
Police obtained a warrant, leading to a standoff at his home where he surrendered peacefully after over 90 minutes of crisis negotiation.
Authorities recovered evidence during a search of his residence.
