A man died in a Lubbock crash Monday; two teens were injured in the same incident.
A 57-year-old man, Daniel Spray, died in a crash Monday morning at the intersection of 24th and Indiana streets in Lubbock, Texas, after his vehicle struck a utility pole. A 16-year-old driver and 13-year-old passenger in a pickup truck involved in the collision sustained minor injuries. Investigators say Spray was traveling north and attempting a left turn when the vehicles collided, causing the pickup to hit a pole and a home. The crash cause is under investigation. Separately, police are probing a separate shooting Tuesday afternoon near 66th and Milwaukee streets that left one person with serious but non-life-threatening injuries; the victim drove to the scene, and no suspect has been identified. In another incident, a car crashed into a home in northwest Lubbock early Tuesday, prompting a heavy rescue response due to structural damage, though no injuries were reported.
