Intel to launch Panther Lake chip in early 2026, its first using 18A process, with improved AI, performance, and efficiency.
Intel will unveil technical details for its Panther Lake laptop chip on October 9, 2025, the first high-volume product made using its 18A manufacturing process.
The chip, designed for premium laptops, features a redesigned AI engine, improved processor and graphics performance, and claims of 30% lower energy use and up to 50% better data processing in some tasks.
Production yields have risen from 5% to about 10% since late 2024.
The launch, expected in early 2026, is part of Intel’s effort to regain market share from AMD and rebuild investor confidence after a $2.9 billion second-quarter loss.
The company has gained support from SoftBank and Nvidia, including a converted CHIPS Act grant that gave Nvidia a 9.9% equity stake.
Intel lanzará el chip Panther Lake a principios de 2026, el primero que utiliza el proceso 18A, con IA, rendimiento y eficiencia mejorados.
