While the trade show saw more exhibitors and buyers than 2024, including major growth from China and Morocco, U.S. border data revealed a 26% drop in Canadian air arrivals and 37% decline in car crossings in July, marking the first time in nearly two decades that more Americans traveled to Canada than Canadians to the U.S.
Visitor numbers from Western Europe also fell, with the World Travel & Tourism Council projecting a $12.5 billion loss in international tourism spending for the year.
